Chronicles of Nityesh

a one-person publishing house
About this website
Say hi on [email protected]

A while ago, I made a 20-page comic book using AI image models. I was proud of it. Then I tried to share it.

My options: put it on GitHub Pages, or buy a domain, find a host, deploy it — and then what? I had a website. The best it could do was hold an article about the comic. The comic itself was homeless.

That kept happening. As I started creating real apps with AI — with my own twist — I'd want to share them here, and all I could do was write a post about them. A blog can only hold blog posts.

Last month it finalized. I built Spool, a screen recorder, and deployed it on my own infrastructure. Zero external dependencies, except the box I rent from DigitalOcean. Nothing between me and the people using it.

The thesis

Personal publishing is evolving. The last shape was the individual creator writing a newsletter. The next shape is the individual creator shipping articles, videos, comics, and full working apps — with their own flavor — served cheaply by going straight to the root: your own server, using everything AI now makes possible for one person.

This website is the first test.

What you'll find here

  • Articles about AI and my experiments with it — how I'm building all of this, and what I'm learning along the way.
  • Comics about interesting topics, made with AI image models.
  • Apps that I built for myself, use, and maintain — free for you to use. No payments, no upsells. They run on my own server, and serving them costs me almost nothing, so free is sustainable.

The bet

Honest part first: I've never been able to build a newsletter past 1,000 subscribers. This is me giving it another shot — this time with AI and the skills I've gathered to make all sorts of interesting things with it.

You're probably tired of signing up for newsletters. But what about one where the guy sends you a polished app he built and uses himself, a fun comic book about something interesting, and the articles describing how it all got made?

I mean — how awesome is that?

No cadence. I ship when I ship. Lately, I ship often.

Who's writing this

I'm Nityesh. I build software with a lot of help from AI. With my brother Piyush, I run Curated Connections — self-driving community software for creators. By day I'm an Applied AI Engineer at Every.

This site runs on code I wrote, on a server I rent, and everything on it is optimised for truth, not engagement.
